Our “Making a PAWSitive Difference” Program
For many of us, pets are cherished members of our families. Their unconditional love and support lift our spirits and soothe our souls. We adore our pets and can’t imagine our lives or our homes without them. However, sometimes circumstances beyond our control can put our ability to care for our furry family members in danger.
Because at Edwards Elder Law, P.A., we believe that pets and families belong together, we have established the “Making a PAWSitive Difference” program in our office. The “Making a PAWSitive Difference” program allows us to help support three Pinellas County charities that offer resources for families having temporary difficulty providing for their pets.
Which Charities Does the “Making a PAWSitive Difference” Program Support?
- SPCA Tampa Bay Pebble’s Food Bank
Offers free food for dogs or cats of Pinellas County families facing an unexpected financial hardship. - CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse) Pet Shelter Kennel
Provides an on-site kennel at its Pinellas County domestic violence shelter so victims of abuse who are seeking shelter don’t have to leave their pets behind. - Suncoast Hospice Pet Peace of Mind Program
Provides assistance to Pinellas County hospice patients who are too ill to manage their beloved pet’s needs.
How Does Our “Making a PAWSitive Difference Program” Support These Charities?
We donate $25 to one of these three charities for every new will or new trust that we draft for our clients. The client receiving the new will or new trust chooses which of these three charities will receive our $25 donation.
In addition to making the $25 donation for each new will or trust we draft, we also have a food donation box in our reception area to collect unopened dry or canned dog and cat food from any of our clients who wish to support the efforts of these three charities by making a difference in the lives of families and their pets.
